This reminds me of all those Netflix specials about small town sheriffs and DAs knowingly railroading an innocent guy to jail because they were desperate to show their voters they were doing something.

How does one defeat a coup? Blood is the answer and we are quickly approaching this point.

Actually, it's a House rule, but it's a rule they forgot to change when this farce was initiated.

I agree that the process seems undemocratic in a generic sense, and they do seem to be violating their own procedural rules.

But Congressional procedural rules ain’t the Constitution.

Please cite the Article, Section and Clause of the Constitution which addresses procedural rules for committee hearings.

This is typical JJBot hyperbole.

I told people that wanted this to go on and on they would never allow full exposure-in witnesses- of mostly all of them --R's and D's-- getting Ukraine paydays. Including Graham and McCain getting literal medals from the corrupt Ukraine President.

I won't speak for everybody, but They can join in if the want too.

You suck as a person, and more so as a citizen of the USA. You defend everything they have done from the outset of Trump getting elected.

You are truly a "by any means" POS!

So, no Constitutional citation? I thought as much.

Your post is typical of your hyper hyper-emotional behavior. I said nothing in support of impeachment. I have been asked many times, and have said that I do not support it. But you made an affirmative assertion about the Constitution. I simply asked you to support that assertion. You failed to do so, and you cannot do so. And in your view, this makes me a bad person. You are an emotional child.

Im not sure about that.

Hank, your liberal side is showing (yet again). Your spin allows for doubt. There isn't any. They ARE violating their own procedural rules. Stating or implying otherwise (or even remotely leaving it open to interpretation) is disingenuous imho.

But the "process" has been deemed Constitutional. They need Trump emasculated for some reason. The suck arse thing is that the Democrats would have done this to Ted Cruz or John Kasich or (_________) if they were Republican.

You only fight this hard if you have something really big to lose. Methinks they know the exact date of RBG'S death and how terminal she really is and the SCOTUS would be locked up for another 10 - 15 years. Plus There is probably a lot of money on the line via the skim in Ukraine.

Mitch needs to talk about this every time he is in front of a mic. He needs to ask the media if they think this is fair . So he knows if he can do the same when it’s his turn .

No, my lawyer side.

Based upon that letter, there would indeed appear to be a rules violation. I have not, however, gone out and researched those rules. I responded based upon readily-available info, without that research. In that posture, I said as much as I could say with some degree of certainty. Most posters here make regularly make broad, wild and emotional assertions based upon limited information. I choose not to do so.

Whether Republican or Democrat, I really doubt that any committee would so blatantly violating rules, if they did not have some other provision in mind which they intended to assert would support their actions.

That is just now how they dance the Beltway 2-Step.

Let me tell you what IS Constitutional. The Second Amendment. Research the reason for it. They are skating on very thin ice up there.

Democrats need to be sent to the morgue .

It's the only way they will modify their behavior.
