Link?

I create.

I've created tons of things that would be considered "controversial".

I know a shock-piece when I see it.

This was meant to empower shitlords and idiots.

You took the bait.

The K&B founder was very into sculpture art and has sculpture garden dedicated to him in New Orleans City Park.

Really doubt that accomplished sculptor Enrique Alférez, who loved this city, and much of his fine art is still in that beautiful park to remain for the ages, would've even considered in his weakest moment putting something that inflammatory there.

It's now part of our history that his wife was one of those who lost her life to Katrina.

Wow! That movie totally weirded me out when I was a kid. I think it came out in 1972 or 1974 if I recall correctly.

1972, made for TV with Cornel Wilde - IMDB link and still the best gargoyle flick I've seen. I've got a copy on VHS somewhere in storage. Kinda strange with all the retreads that Hollyweird does that they haven't done more with this topic.

one reason that this place is worthwhile is that interesting bits of trivia like this can be learned even in the midst of the dumbest pissing match.

Having been in and around that building off and on for decades, it has always had strange art.

K&B building reminds me so much of the Mississippi Power building on the beach in Gulfport.

The piece is called "Male Beast 1990." The artist is Russian scupltor Grisha Bruskin.

It should be torn down, turned into scrap, and repurposed to assist Ukraine in the war on dirty money.
