mandate that each state offer same-day voter registration at all polling locations by 2024

First they complain that long lines at the voting booth are a form of voter suppression. Then, they suggest that poll workers verify people’s identity and register them to vote.

Could it be that they know no one is going to actually check these people’s documents?

They don’t care about that, they’re doing it anyway.

im ok with making Election Day a holiday. the rest is garbage

same. if that happens id like to see early voting done away with entirely. if you cant make it on a day that's a federal holiday that's your problem.

Do this and eliminate all early voting and all mail in voting except absentee ballots.

You vote on Election Day and voter ID required

The Constitution clearly states that voting law is a power accorded to the states.

It seems quite cut and dried, per what is written in the Constitution.

However, I visualise the Supreme Court upholding a congressional bill such as "For The People" or "Freedom To Vote Act" if it successfully becomes law. The Court is traditionally loath to overturn any act of Congress, irrespective of its constitutional merits.

For any issue with limiting the amount of voting places, sure. Requiring people to prove they are who they say they are in order to vote shouldn't be considered "controversial", it should be considered as a default part of voting.

That it's not considered a default part of voting is what should be considered "controversial".
