Democrats: Boudin Lost Because San Francisco Is Actually a Conservative Stronghold

New York Magazine argued that Boudin's loss is because the City by the Bay "has never been its left-wing caricature" and was run by Republicans for the previous century. Uh, ok.

Others took things a step further and argued that San Francisco "has always been a conservative city," a claim that is just... no.

Meanwhile others continued to indulge and advance Boudin's campaign claim that the recall effort was some vast right wing conspiracy, which is also untrue.
Here's the kicker:
quote:
As Townhall reported previously, current and former California Dem Party officials were pushing for the recall, and they also shot down the claims that conservatives were the driving force behind the successful attempt to fire Boudin. "The fact is San Francisco Democrats put the recall on the ballot with 83,000 signatures, and a recent poll shows the recall is supported by 64% of San Francisco Democrats," noted Nima Rahimi, an executive board member of the CA Democrat Party in an op-ed urging Boudin's removal. What's more, greater than 60 percent of San Francisco's voters are Democrats, and the last time a Republican held the mayor's office was in 1964.

Only way to free San Francisco from Republican tyranny is to keep voting Democrat!
San Francisco, NYC, Portland, Seattle and Chicago... conservative strongholds. Only way to get them back on the right track is to keep voting Democrat .

Maybe a Classic Liberal stronghold vs a Progressive Liberal stronghold. I can believe that.

LMAO. Wow. Next up they’ll claim that NYC is conservative because Adams has 29% approval.

Liberal policies are turning people Conservative there, absolutely

And the problem is, their base is so utterly dumb, they believe this. San Fran has never been anything but liberal...ever.

Did Townhall actually post a Shawn King tweet... How pathetic is that...?

Pretty sure San Francisco County has been the MOST left voting county in all of California for many consecutive presidential elections by a pretty wide margin.
2020 - Biden 85.3%, Trump 12.7%
2016 - Hillary 85%, Trump 9.3%
2012 - Obama 83.5%, Romney 13%
2008 - Obama 84.2%, McCain 13.7%
2004 - Kerry 83%, Bush 15.2%
2000 - Gore 75.5%, Bush 16.1%
1996 - Clinton 72.2%, Dole 15.7%
1992 - Clinton 72.4%, Bush 17.9%
1988 - Dukakis 72.8%, Bush 26.1%
1984 - Mondale 67.35%, Reagan 31.44% (one of few counties in the nation to vote Mondale and they did it by a huge margin)
1980 - Carter 52.43%, Reagan 31.87% (again )
The last time San Fran County voted for a Republican president was in 1956 Eisenhower over Stevenson.
That's some conservative stronghold.

For the very life of me, who actually listens to this idiot? Black folks hold him in utter contempt. I'm guessing it has to be white progs. I mean, who else COULD it be?

The first rule of being a Democrat today is that NOTHING is your fault...EVER. Thus, the only "plausible" reason this unabashed Marxist was recalled is because conservatives/Republicans did so. Not because a Democrat, elected by Democrats, may have done a terrible job. So bad that those same Democrats might vote to remove him.
This is the current Democrat mantra...

Boudin lost overwhelmingly because the residents are sick of the out of control lawlessness and dangerous environment that Boudin allowed to fester. Its not a liberal or conservative issue at this point

Or maybe people got tired of seeing lazy arse homeless people shitting on the sidewalks?
Seeing illegals murder legal residents and receive no prosecution?
Lawlessness. But this is actually good because it shows another Liberal / Progressive experiment failed. They wanted this to force some kind of collapse in order to be able to radically change laws. It backfired.
It actually shows me some hope for humanity even in shithole liberal run cities.

I think they are now referring to anyone who isn’t hyper progressive as “conservative”.

California was a red state before the influx of illegal leeches.
That has little or nothing to do with the leftist abomination it has transformed into.

My first trip to SF, I knew it was Conservative when we're riding the trolley, and on the corner were two GQ cover models in biz suits playing tonsil hockey on the street corner while holding brief cases.
Who knew that a Harvey Milk city that created Mitchell Brothers and the Grateful Dead was a conservative bastion? The more you know.
