You are presenting two different arguments that have nothing to do with each other, and straw manning them to make it seem like they are the same.
I dont think anyone is arguing freedom of speech in both cases. The people are arguing against being manipulated. And the two cases you cited show that manipulation.

I haven't watched NFL for over 4 years buddy, life is actually better without it. Gave up most college sports around that time, but would watch a few games. I was down to LSU sports this year and now that's gone as well.
My life is not so shallow to where I have to watch grown men run around in tights and feel each others buttocks to get by.... I guess I'm lucky.

The NFL/NBA boycott is not about politics....it’s about suppression of certain speech. The mob forced Drew Brees to apologize because he stood up for the flag but was silent when DeSean Jackson spouted anti-semetic rhetoric.
It’s the same mob that wants to silence Goya.

Goya isn't putting pictures of Trump on all their products or supporting fake hate crimes that use up tax payer resources.
Voicing support for a cause is much different than altering your product for said cause.
