Liberals are irrational. They hate the NRA and redneck gun owners until they literally shake because of an election they don't like, and then they are like "oh yeah.. so that's why guns are kinda good". It's like they can't see truth unless they experience something that resembles it first.
Regardless, I hope many of them become NRA members and start supporting gun rights (they won't) regardless of whatever else they think.

I've heard this from a friend as well. Not about DU, but about the necessity to buy a gun. It's just fricking crazy. Eight years ago it was "Obama is going to take away our guns!" to "Trump is president so now we need guns!"

I think they are probably terrified of firearms. But they are not willing to attend a class or go to a range and actually fire the weapons.
