Yep. The time to go after our own is during the primary. That’s RINO season. We have to circle the wagons afterwards.

I live in GA-14.

This was a jungle primary with 17 GOP, 3 Dems, an independent and a Libertarian. Top 2 regardless of party will go to a runoff if nobody gets to 50% +1. The Dem, Shawn Harris, was widely expected to make the runoff as he is well-funded compared to the other 2 Dems. The GOP guys were going to cannibalize the vote. I still expect Clay Fuller, the GOP top vote getter so far, to win the seat in the runoff and he will serve out the remainder of MTG's term.

The really crazy stuff is this is a special election. This is only to serve in Congress until Dec 31, 2026. The runoff is scheduled for April 7. After that, on May 19, will be the primary to serve in the seat beginning January 3, 2027. Any runoff needed will be held on June 16. Then the general election is held on November 3 with any runoff to be held on December 1. Got all that?

Now, candidates had to qualify separately for the special election and the regularly scheduled election. Shawn Harris is the only Dem qualified for the scheduled election; he'll be on the ballot for sure in November. Most of the same GOP guys who ran in the special election have qualified for the May primary as well. Colton Moore is considered to be the most formidable challenger to Fuller; I expect a runoff in June for the slot opposite Harris in November.

I'm tired from typing all that...

The problem is that nobody is motivated because normal people outside of the internet are comfortable enjoying their lives and don't think or care about politics when everything is going well

Harris up 37-35 as of about 9PM.

Surprising to me is that Fuller is up about 3-1 over Colton Moore, widely expected to be his toughest challenger.

If you add up the percentages it’s 60-40 Republicans so your math is outstanding lol

There are 2 Republicans and 1 Dem on the ballot. This isn’t complicated. There will be a runoff.

Do you know how read or not? I clearly stated that the Dem won't win, I am looking at the margin of victory for clues as to what might happen overall in November. I posted that twice.

Well here’s your clue then: 54.8% of votes counted in this election have gone to Republicans. That’s actually slightly better than 2024.
