40% of all ballots? Which states?
Last I heard, states doing vote by mail as a whole included Vermont, California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. And only one of those is considered a swing state.

Harris County Texas (Houston) is trying to do this but got blocked by the state AG.
If Texas goes blue because the crooked mayor and county judge stuffed the ballot box, there will be some hangings.

Numbers swing states have seen a huge number in absentee ballot requests.
Governors are extending the deadlines to past Nov 3 if it's stamped on Election Day.

That's never going to happen. Trump wins on Election Night, it's over. The uprising throughout the country would be monumental.

Ok let’s assume there is no fraud.
Why does mail in heavily favor Dems so much? I would think due to Covid the demographic most afraid of large crowds would be the elderly. This group is overwhelmingly conservative.
Are democrats that fricking lazy?

Because it’s not about genuine mail-in ballots.
John Q. Democrat and his buddies could all mail in their ballots on Sunday evening and then go vote in person on Tuesday.
The Dems will see whatever shortfall they have in the coming days and just manufacture what’s needed to make up the difference +1.

If/when there's a clear Trump landslide election night and the left "finds" enough "votes" to flip the table there will be bloodshed.
Frankly there should be and I'm not looking forward to it, but not shirking from it either.
