I hosted a single server for teammates in a wargame that I play, that was the limit of my interaction with the platform.

Yeah, I've used Discord for years for gaming. Teamspeak and Ventrillo before that.

Vent rage videos are still funny on youtube.

we need to quit buying things from known liberals - unless we really NEED it.

Ex. No ice cream from Ben and Jerry's. If you buy your ice cream from them you are giving money to known liberals.

Failure to monitor and report criminal activity

We love Big Brother, don't we.

Discord doesn't naturally monitor user messages, nor should they.

I don't get it? Do they have a policy to read what is in the various discords people set up? Do we know if they knew any of this?

The discord being deleted would not have stopped this.

The discord not being deleted could help put people in prison for aiding the murderer.

This seems dumb.

It’s just a communication device.

He used a phone too, did you get rid of that?

No need. Anyone who read anything threatening could have gone to the authorities, just like if he had said something in a diner, or classroom. Quitting the venue forever would be dumb.

I tried using it. I never liked it. I think it’s a good idea for me to delete my account for lack of use anyway. If I’m not going to use it then I may as well get rid of it. Generally the less social media presence you have the better. I understand having it for business and business professional reasons, but beyond that there is little point with phones being able to do the same things.

They make it incredibly difficult to delete and constantly change the process. Even once you delete it if you click a Facebook link it will log you in and restore your account.

4 years ago I had a hell of a time deleting our accounts permanently. Totally worth it.
