The posts in this thread will discuss the pervasive influence of the Deep State on our culture. We will look at how they use Hollywood /film, music, the arts, "fashion", marketing,etc. for influence and "other" purposes (hearts and minds...)
The goal of the Deep State in my opinion is to bitterly divide folks. In the process, weakening (obese and sub/infertile culture) and debasing a society that is complacent, distracted and easy to "rule" over.
We will make an arguement that many events that have occurred in recent history were engineered/nudged. Specifically, the 60's counter culture scene (heavily influenced by music) was in a large part engineered by the intelligence community. When this is understood, it makes the seemingly confusing events/movements of present day America make more sense. It also clarifies why our "artists" seem to be preoccupied with clumsily giving us their unsolicited personal political opinions.
The first topic will be movie "magik"
I will update the thread periodically as it will take a while to present...

Neon Demon was great, one of my favorite movies of that year. Check out Valhalla Rising and Only God Forgives from the same director if you're into that kind of stuff.

Regardless, while I'm not an even an expert in my field of focus, I do at least have more than a cursory basis in psychology since I have my PhD in it. So I also think also people overrate how much these things can actually impact an indivdual's thoughts, beliefs, emotions, etc., at least beyond specific things.
Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that we have flaws in our reasoning that can he manipulated, whether intentional or not. As an example, the news naturally covers things that are rare and emotional, usually negative things (crime, terrorism, etc.), so we have a tendency to greatly overestimate their frequency and the risk.
At the same time, other flaws in our reasoning could also inhibit the universal effectiveness. Confirmation bias, for example, kind of offsets this since people already have the tendency to either seek out and accept what they're selling if fits our worldview, so it's just confirming an existing worldview, or not accept and/or flat out ignore what they're selling if it doesn't fit our worldview.
On the other hand, the whole idea of things like "Nudge," is that you don't have to change much in any individual person, so long as you get enough people to change.
Overall though, I think people tend to overstate this stuff, and sometimes, overstate what is even possible (like subliminal messaging music).

Yeah, I don't get the significance of that quote either. Of course civilization is a collective. Water is hydrogen and oxygen.
