Day one of impeachment proceedings were watched by nearly 13.1 million people across multiple broadcast and cable outlets, which was notably lower than other high-profile televised hearings in the Trump era, but on par with Robert Mueller's testimony on Capitol Hill in July.

The 13,098,000 who tuned in on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CSPAN and PBS marks a 32 percent drop from the number of people who watched James Comey's testimony to Senate Intelligence Committee in May 2017, which delivered more than 19 million viewers.

In February, former Trump personal attorney and fixer Michael Cohen's testimony delivered 15.8 million viewers, while 13 million tuned in to see former special counsel Robert Mueller testify before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees.

All audience numbers are according to Nielsen Media Research.

Yikes. On par with mueller, lower than Comey and Cohen

And this was big premier day 1. You’d expect it to go lower as more and more take place.

There were blue check marks tweeting yesterday that seats were emptying as the committee hearing drug on during the day and remained empty.

That should never happen during an impeachment hearing.

Normal impeachment hearings there is standing room only with reporters waiting with baited breath for every last syllable.

bolton may equal the watergate ratings.

Wake me up after the supremes decide if those who were there may testify.

Only game in town.

Current stuff is foreplay.

It’s about what those networks bring in at that time anyway.

I DVR'd it. It was like watching retarded people pretending to be retarded.
