David French is lukewarm about RW reversal, because the right is too mean right now

What a dork. He clearly doesn't understand the connection between a more active and aggressive right, and finally some victories going our way. None of this would have happened with Mitt Romney or John McCain.
French is the uppity Karen who calls the only plumber in town over to fix the water heater, when the plumber shows up with tattoos, dirty jeans, and tobacco in his lip, she refuses the service because of his style and continues on with no hot water

Two days after Roe has been overturned, I’m far more conflicted than I ever imagined I’d be. Writing in The Atlantic on Friday, I described my attitude as joy in my heart tempered by disquiet in my spirit. Since I wrote that piece, that disquiet has only grown, and I think I know why.
quote:
Now Roe is gone. Good. We should rejoice at its demise.
But that’s not the end of the story. Not by a long shot. The two sides of the great American divide are now staring at each other and asking, “Now what?” The answer from pro-life America should be clear and resounding—the commitment to life carries with it a commitment to love, to care for the most vulnerable members of society, both mother and child.
But life and love are countercultural on too many parts of the right. In a time of hate and death, too many members of pro-life America are contributing to both phenomena. Is that too much to say? Is that too strong? I don’t think so.
quote:
The culture of political engagement centers around animosity. Church and family life is being transformed, congregation by congregation, household by household, by argument and division. The Dobbs ruling has landed in the midst of a sick culture, and the pro-life right is helping make it sick.

I’m amazed he took the dick out of his mouth long enough to express his feelings.

Nowhere is division in America more apparent than in the media.....

This pretense that we have to make peace with the world and its sick, godless ideology is unbiblical foolishness. We are already at war. U.S. politics aside. It's the world versus the church. French needs to figure out what side he is on. The fact that he has to poormouth the overthrow of Roe v Wade is just further proof of his compromised lifestyle.

Made it to this, stopped reading.

Is French the canary in the coal mine for the PCA church?
Probably. Looks like it’s falling apart.
David French wants to be a moral leader. He wants to be seen as better than anyone else and noticed for his righteousness and “rightness.” What he does not want to do, under any circumstance, is to actually change the culture.

If he wants to be a moral leader he should probably stop selling his morals for a pay check.

In the meantime, the Republican branch of the American church is adopting the political culture of the secular right. With a few notable exceptions, it not only didn’t resist the hatred and fury of the MAGA movement, it was the MAGA movement. And this is the culture that’s going to lead the effort to heal our nation, love the marginalized, and ask young women to face an uncertain future and endure a physical ordeal for the sake of sacrificial love?
Is there a worse case of TDS anywhere in the world?

This is ridiculous.

Only if you don't see the true love behind rioting and looting and stalking the children of supreme court justices and trannies in libraries.

He needs to take up a hobby that involves sweating and he probably needs 4 new male friends.
He takes himself entirely too seriously.
