That's great.

I say frick Dan Rather, too.

But is anything being brought to attention by him in this interview untrue?

Dan saw all of this as it was happening. Did he say a word about it?

There is no question, Rather is human garbage. There is no such thing as journalism. It is and has been dead since the eighties. I can't imagine anyone believing anything they hear on the "news".

Not really, ST. But Authoritarian Socialism damn sure won't cure those ills. Especially the Obama/Rev. Wright flavor. We'll fix it though...after the economic collapse/reboot.

What a great interview! I have a new respect for Dan Rather and that guy doing the interview is outstanding!
Agreed. And basically he is telling the American people that we are all being duped... and fricked by our Federal Govt, elected officials and big money/corporate interests.

This is the same Dan Rather who knowingly used fabricated evidence on national t.v. to futher his own political agenda right?

I know the knee-jerk is to think about W's military service records, but my first thought on Dan Rather's bias in reporting will always default to 1988's The Wall Within.

tl;dr - This documentary had Dan Rather interviewing six "Vietnam veterans" who told stories of slaughter, cruelty and the horrors of war.

Rather to one "veteran": “You’re telling me that you went into the village, killed people, burned part of the village, then made it appear that the other side had done this?”

The "veteran's" response: “Yeah. It was kill VC, and I was good at what I did.”

It turned out that five of the six were never in the service at all, and the sixth, who claimed to be a Navy SEAL, was an equipment repairman and never near combat.

frickin idiot

Rantings of a stark-raving lunatic.

Please direct me to anything I've ever posted that said the Rothchilds have all the money....or (I really like this one) Bush let 9/11 happen so he could get oil.

Bush can't even watch TV and eat pretzels at the same time.

Your inability to read and comprehend has brought me much entertainment. I tip my hat to you, sir, for that.

is it arrogance to expect the people in one's life to be honest, to act with integrity?
Yes, it is extremely arrogant to believe you are entitled to that. You're not.
And it is extremely ignorant to believe you'll get that from an organization (the media) that is owned and controlled by habitual criminals.

Journalism as being objective has always been a fraud. JQ Adams had newspaper friends to run stories slandering A.Jackson's wife.
And there is this movie called Citizen Kane based on William Randolph Hearst.

So you're telling me that, hypothetically, if data from NASA showed that heat was passing through the roof of the greenhouse at a much higher rate than 100% of climate models predicted, that, even though the finding would be significant and highly relevant, it would not be reported if the administration wanted it supressed?

Also, I think a guy who has worked his entire life in the media industry is speaking with more than just opinion when he says that 6 and no more than 4 conglomerates own most all media.

Screw Dan rather. He was the consummate insider and now he's attempting to portray himself as the truth revealing renegade. He'd be right back in the fold if they would only allow him in.

This is an example where the messenger is more disgusting than the disgusting message.

If memory serves me, Goldberg calling out Dan in his book caused a lot of hard feelings between the two.

Obama does not have the bloodline, but he is solid on the rest.

you don't expect your doctor, your pharmacist, the teacher of your children, your dry cleaner, journalists, any merchant that you trust, to be honest and have integrity and you don't think that is a standard that should be applied in society?

If you don't apply those standards in society then,...ah nevermind
