I never fault people for finally seeing the light.

I was cautiously approving and naive of the Patriot Act but realized the disastrous effect of it within a couple years. I didn’t believe Americans would tolerate such levels of abuse. I thought enough safeguards and solid foundations of American institutions existed to prevent it. I didn’t believe Americans would forever give up fundamental liberties to powerful people in exchange for false promises of security. I was wrong.

Perhaps as more abuse of power, flawed misappropriation of blood and treasure, and blatant hypocrisy by politicians continue to be put on display, more and more people will finally see the light.

So I will never begrudge people for coming to the realization that a politician like Crenshaw is a fraud and a negative influence in our government when he does things like the subject of this thread, ranting about spending while supporting every expeditionary military misadventure and nation building exercise of the past 20+ years and voting to give a corrupt foreign government $50+B. Rather, I congratulate them for coming to this very real recognition.

I will also count on you to mock them for it solely because of the kind of person you are.
