Alabama came in hot this morning.

WoM had 40 deaths for them and if that holds, that's a record for them (again on WoM).

That would be nuts. It is just so wild because at this point, I haven't heard of a single person that has gotten covid in over a month. Through May, I at least heard about people I knew or people that I knew, knew. I haven't heard of a soul with it.

Just crazy we would all of a sudden hit our highest single day death number.

If it wasn't for the media, I honestly wouldn't think it was even still around (aside for the mask wearing). Curious how many of them are from the bible belt.

Interesting. I have heard about a lot more positive tests recently than any time of the pandemic so far. All the ones that I know of are people in under 30 though.

What was their positive rate today?

Yesterday appeared to show signs that Arizona was topping out. If so, you'd think FL wouldn't be too far behind with the test numbers they are reporting.

The Tampa hospital guy on CNN also made it seem their admissions topped out about 10 days ago.

I mean i've heard about the numbers being reported. I'm not doubting it, it is just bizarre to me how little I see it in actual life vs what is being reported. I have family and work throughout the state, and nobody has it or knows anybody anymore. It is just kind of bizarre.

78 of the deaths occurred in july, rest occurred in june

crimsonains, you HAVE to disclose this. We don't even know when in july these deaths occurred.

It makes it IMPOSSIBLE to study trends when some of these deaths occurred weeks ago.

Admissions lag infection by 5-10 days. So if their admissions topped out 10 days ago, they are well down the downslope.

The people getting it are all under 30 and then spreading it in their homes to grandma.

60% of the cases in Texas right now are Hispanics in multi-generational households.

Only 16 counties reported any fatalities from Covid yesterday in Florida. There are 67 counties.

20 counties reported at least one fatality today. The median number of reported fatalities was 2.

97 deaths (74%) came from 5 counties.

From the Bama Board.

So much truth in this video, when you have the time.

The real stats.

This certainly seems to be the case. Rio Grande valley getting hit hard along with other border areas. Tarrant seems to be on the downside with ER visits related to covid symptoms and % positive peaking 10 days ago. Hospital number should start to drop within a week or so.

I do have a buddy that works for the USDA as a slaughter plant inspector. He was bound to pop positive and came up positive this week. Luckily asymptomatic.
