Patient I've discussed in this thread previously was recently able to be (comparatively) aggressively weaned on the ventilator. I have hope they will be able to be taken off soon and will recover.

Probably partly due to our smaller total numbers. But the vast majority of tests are being handled by private labs. They only have the breakdown of private labs versus state for positive tests. But it looks like 80%+ of positive tests are coming from private labs. I would assume that’s mostly representative of the whole.
Depends on the lab you are using.

Slickrick, We won't really know until later tonight, there is always a big bump in numbers around 7PM to 9PM.

the initial numbers around noon just give you an idea how the day is going to go if you've been following them everyday

I would not be surpised to see another 180-200 added to the death count by days end.

It would be in line with what's expected. Unless we see hyrdoxychloroquine working quickly, we aren't going to see deaths peak til the 15th.

it actually slowed down quite a bit from the end of last week where we jumped from 200 to 500 over a couple days, I was worried we'd be at 1000/day today or tomorrow but now I doubt that unless there is a backlog somewhere

Don't be alarmed with the death numbers right now. Once you see fewer Covid's in the ICU you will see the death rate lower. The number to search for is the ICU numbers and then you will know what the future death rate will be.

Correct. And we're about to start testing convalescent patients for RNA using the new Roche assay (PCR NAT assay). Hopefully good data coming.

It'll probably be around 1000 a day by Friday, and 2500 a day around April 15th when it peaks.
