Wronggg. We cut off their oil they received from Venezuela
Posted on 3/8/26 at 8:14 am to Sweep Da Leg
Under Chavez and Maduro Venezuela sent them oil very cheap, more than they needed, so they could sell the excess. As China tightened its grip on Venezuela they were shipping less and less. So even before the US took over Venezuela Cuba was having blackouts. Part from lack of fuel and part because their power grid has been neglected for decades.
The only thing they made money on was tourism, so they invested in new hotels. They did not invest in the beautiful old hotels, the power grid, nor old Havana (which was the attraction for tourists), roads, or the people. Sooo now they have no power which means the tourists have no hot water, no AC, get food poisoning because of the lack of refrigeration; and, crime which was non existent is prevalent.
Trump is a businessman, we can help them, Venezuela and Iran to build their economies. Not this bullshite "nation building" where we pay for everything, akin to building projects in the ninth ward where people have no skin in the game.

See, you people actually believe this. Seriously. The UK as a whole and Ireland are fricking disgusted by our current administration.
But keep on keeping on, Cletus.

Meanwhile the current administrations in England and Ireland are actively destroying their countries.

This is overstating it. There is a very large minority in the UK that is rabidly pro-Trump. And remember, they are bombarded with fake news and much of the debate is censored.

Nope.
In Ireland last month (and previously). They are NOT Trump fans. This goes from personal experience from the pub to the market to the office.
Seriously, stop bullshiting yourselves.

I’ll go by personal experience in regard to Ireland.
fricking wrong.

Certainly the majority is that way. I said so in my post. I have quite a bit of experience going to England mostly, but a little to Ireland (not recently) and Scotland. Plus I worked with Scots until recently.
I have a house in England, and I take my grandkids to parks, playgrounds, birthday parties, etc. In short, we are out in public a lot. I am confidant in what I posted that there is a large minority that is very pro-Trump and wishes his policies for the UK.

Is there a Marco meme dressed like Castro yet??

COMMUNISM has not ever worked. It is the last resort for the uneducated ushered in by the deceitful.

I do believe that on the English/Scot side. They’ve been dealing with those issues for some time and people are pushing back a bit.
In Ireland. I find it quite a bit different.
I, myself, don’t have a homestead in England but did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last time in London.

Yep. I’m dumb.
SMH. You might want to get out a bit and see the world, Cletus.
And, to really piss you off, I voted for Crenshaw and Cornyn.

In the last 18 months I’ve been to both London and Edinburgh, so admittedly not Ireland. It’s exactly as Penrod laid it out for you. The majority don’t like Trump or the admin, but there is an undercurrent of some support for the US and what we are doing.
My point was who gives a frick whether they like our admin or not? Their own admins are terrible.
Go and listen to podcasts where Connor McGregor talks about why he considered running for office in IRL. Mass immigration is killing these places.
It’s just like NYC. Someone from Europe could visit this week and have a great time. But here, we know NYC is rapidly going downhill. So is the UK.

The modern progressive left in the US and Europe is a neo-Marxist death cult.
Their movement destroys every institution and every person it touches.

It’s been a dozen years since I’ve been to Ireland and even longer since I stayed in a Holiday Inn/Express, so what do I know?
