Crazy Town - Big Bang Theory Finale

In the very first episode, Leonard meets Penny. When Penny leaves the room he remarks that "Our babies will be smart and beautiful."
In the series finale, Penny is pregnant and happy. The line from the first episode is recalled.
The feminists are going crazy because Penny didn't have an abortion.

Was thinking that as I was watching. The show made it a big point that she didn't want kids all season, she gets drunk, gets pregnant, and is happy to have the baby at the end? She lives in California. Expected it to be a wacky bit about planned parenthood doing something with the unwanted fetus.

That would have been dumb and out of character. Penny is from a conservative family from Nebraska, and Leonard really wants kids. It would have made no sense. Plus, the show never dealt with political issues. The most serious issue was when Howard's mother died.
It would have been terrible writing to throw that in in the final episode. It was a lighthearted show throughout its run. The feminists will bitch and moan about anything.
