The entire idea about social distancing is that with less people around each other, eventually the virus won't replicate as quickly and case volumes will come down. You seem to be suggesting that it's not true. But, how could it not be true? Leave aside the separate argument about whether social distancing was worth it, with everyone staying home much more often, wouldn't that necessarily have an impact?

Don’t be that moron.

As we’ve seen this whole time, it’s either not as contagious as the fear mongers stated or not as mortal.

I really can't wait to see all of you repeat this when a certain person stakes a claim to it

Maybe. Difficult to say it’s certain or with 95% probability without having a control group.

There actually are control groups. Just look at the rate of hospitalization or mortality increase pre-social distancing and post.

You don't have a damn clue what you are talking about. Death is a lagging indicator. That will drop when we are already back open for business as a country.

If we had perfect information, yes. But we aren't testing everyone so we don't really know the "true" number infected.

Doesn't take a certain person saying anything to see that the measure has worked.

What a stupid remark to make.

Of course we will hear two things. 1) the drastic solutions saved millions (a claim completely unable to be verified or discounted) and 2) it was completely necessary and should be the model going forward.

Or people who understand basic statistics understand that if you significantly reduce rates of human-to-human contact, you will reduce infectious disease spread.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence that about two weeks after Italy took drastic lockdown measures, their spread rate leveled off and then began to drop.

Your looking forward to it is more pathetic. You won’t be able to see that of course.

Do you people high five each other in your video game chat rooms when you get to point out a trump supporter did this or that?

I may try opposite juice terry and attempt your shtick on a proggie board.

That’s also pathetic but I am curious about why people do it. It’s like Auburn fans being bitches on Bama boards. So weird.

You're the strangest proponent of an echo chamber that posts on this board

You really have a hard time dealing with facts that you don't like

Well that is hard to determine when at least half of the country is holed up in their homes isn't it?

The average transmission rate of infected has not changed in months. Every expert was in agreement that the mortality rates of 3-4% were overstated because of selective testing.

The stuff you guys fabricate to justify your positions is hysterical.
