The tracker has been on phones since March and yes you do have to download an app for it work.
At least that's what they want us to think.

with the car able to drive itself nowadays..and every app i use also on the computer.
i see less and less of a need for smart phone these days.... pretty sure if i swap out the battery my old razor would work very well.

You can’t even turn it on without downloading a 2nd app so it really doesn’t do much if anything at all without the second app.
