Our elections are a mockery of society

Despite this kind of thing, one of the worst thought crimes you can commit is questioning the legitimacy of our elections.
ETA. Though maybe this is starting to change to a degree. The above was posted on X and some Leftish-type fairly prominent commentator called California’s (supposed) ineptitude “failed state stuff.”

If I was a citizen of California, I would refuse to pay state or property taxes.

Yeah counting and tracking numbers isn’t a problem, the lottery counts millions of ticket numbers and tallies results from all over everywhere in a matter of minutes. Legally counting numbers without fraud is the problem.

Many states have replaced voting with ballot systems.
'Votes' and 'Ballots' are two distinctly different things.
Votes require people, difficult to manage and costly for electioneering. Ballots require systems, easier to manage and more cost effective.
In an in person paper voting system there is a higher probability that the intent of an individual has been captured.
Not so with a ballot system. In that system one person has an opportunity to influence and collect many ballots. Instead of one person one vote we can have one person many votes.
