Could Louisiana just go off the grid?

Louisiana is dysfunctional. But - most of the Democrat party thinks we’re not all that important and doesn’t really care about what happens to us. We don’t affect national elections or politics.

BUT. Our food is good. The people are nice. We are still into our own culture, and know our cousins. We have abundant natural resources.

I also actually know multiple people in state government, and I think many of you Baws are the same. My political party is irrelevant to my local officials.

At least someone GAF about what I have to say, even if my guy loses the election:

I think I just want Louisiana to go off the grid. We can be self sustaining. Nobody is pissed if we’re drilling.

Could we just sell New Orleans to Mississippi or even just donate it- and leave the grid? Be our own little state? We don’t even have to secede. Just blow off the rest of this bullshite. If we’re out of touch and nobody cares - we can just check out? Fair enough?
