convincing estimates of them are not.

yes, even what they pay in taxes is hard to pin down. estimates of how many reside here may not even be worth a shite, let alone the wild estimates extrapolated from those estimates

Do we know a spitball # of illegals who are paying into the system by fraudulently-obtained SSN? How does one go about chasing those leads down?

It would almost pay to create a new government ID# system, and/or a consumer credit ID that worked independently of the SSN. Tying it to your SSN for mortgages, loans, credit cards, etc was STUPID.

How much has Trump and his cabinet appointments cost taxpayers? Just asking for a friend.

This is a terrible 'gotcha' thread by OP. Please regroup and try harder.

It's a request for source info that's been convincing to many here.

The only way it'd look like a gotcha would be if you didn't use any before you made up your mind, and the thread made you sad about it.

edit: $100+ billion/ year is a conservative estimate

A FAIR report is going to have the costs at the very high end of the cost-estimate spectrum.

feel free to refute the fair numbers in detail with supporting official numbers cited

Let’s just say that Texas and California each could be a border wall every year.

My business (profits) are up 28% YTD from last year. So I am offsetting whatever pennies you are talking about.

FAIR is a terribly biased source since they're purpose is anti-immigration. The study is also terrible.

Heritage is far more reputable, and they released a study around the same time. The Fiscal Cost of Unlawful Immigrants and Amnesty to the U.S. Taxpayer
quote:

These households impose a net fiscal burden of around $54.5 billion per year.
So they found it to be about $55 billion. In addition, this was based on the 2010 census, and that was when unemployment was at record highs, the economy was still struggling, and entitlement usage was high and growing quickly. Therefore, I would think that 2010 was a year that costs were high for any group, including immigrants.

It costs 11k per child per year for K-12 education.

Sure we as taxpayers bear the brunt of that for our own citizens but why should we have to pay for non-citizens

Just think of how much money we've wasted by educating anchor babies who are only citizens now because no one has the balls to take birthright citizenship's intent to the SCOTUS.

I heard a report that the biggest factor on whether a person is a net drain or contributor to the economy is a high school education.

Legal or illegal, high school dropouts on average suck money from the system. Graduates on average are contributors.

Any group that finds illegal immigration is a net loser is going to be labeled “anti-immigration.”
