I propose making California a sanctuary/welfare state where we will send all immigrants and welfare lifers.

Think we can get 38 states to agree to that?

Id seriously be in favor of having welfare and non-welfare states. Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi non-welfare. Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina welfare.

Can you imagine New Orleans once all the dregs left?

Age limit perhaps ... but they only serve one term as it is already.

Now see ^^^^^^^ THIS kinda bullshite is why we can't have intelligent debate and nice things around here.

This kinda thing is also why there is probably little chance for any great change without bloodshed as well.

Liberals have never been willing to take anything seriously nor have they been forced to actually fix problems rather than make more of them.

If there was a Constitutional Conversation called, obviously many do not understand how it works and why D.C. would have very little to say about it ... which is what makes it such a powerful means to invoke change.

Change, I might add, potentially for the good AND/OR the bad. We could be looking at a Brier Rabbit kinda thing here ... but are the Libtards that cunning?

I'm not sure if there has ever been a more appropos example of potential for unintended consequences than calling a Constitutional Convention. At the same time I'm not sure there has ever been a more desperate need for one to be called.

Birthright citizenship, the income tax and popular election of Senators all need to go.

Many on this board don't understand the value of an experienced Justice, or the burden that term limits on federal judges would cause.

I'm scared that the Special Interest Groups and Liberal groups will dominate it and it'll be just like Washington, D/C. I don't see moral, patriotic, Conservative principals winning. It'll be all Liberal.

That is why it will only happen with a convention of the states.

I have been following the CotS movement and their primary goal is a balanced budget amendment. I would like to see a repeal of all amendments passed after 1900 except the 20th and 22nd. In place of the 27th I would propose the Congress receive no compensation of any kind beyond a per diem while Congress is in session and no Congressman may lobby the federal gov for five years after retiring from Congress.

I would prefer that all US Senators and Congressmen pay 50% more than than their IRS taxable rate (for their lifetime, not just while they are serving). They might be a little less willing to raise taxes again.

And the bastards should only be allowed to use the VA for medical needs. It should be against the law for them to see a private doctor or go to a non-VA hospitol. That would fix the VA overnight.

Constitutional Convention? It'd be easier and cheaper to just have another Civil War.

The second could never happen again without the first actually having already been tried and failed IMHO.
