I'm not interested in a Confederate battle flag, but I wish I had bought those bundles of Confederate money I saw 60 years ago in shops in Charleston, SC. Some of those bills are worth more than green backs now.

It is a slavery and racist flag though. Its a flag for losers and treasonous people. But the idiotic and ironic thing of it all is those waving the confederate flag have the nerve to call themselves patriotic. The entire reason the confederacy ever existed is because they wanted to keep slaves. How is that offenseive or racist ?
How many of those who died under the Confederate battle flag do you suppose owned slaves? Most were very likely barely above slaves themselves, going off to fight or else for a rich man who owned the patch of land they were allowed to farm. If the south had been brought back into the union with any shred of dignity, all vestiges of the confederacy would have quickly faded. That’s not what happened and the anger built by the abuses of “reconstruction” drove the south down into a near century of poverty and gave those confederate symbols power.
I have no sympathies with the confederacy. They fought a war and slaughtered a lot of poor bastards to stave off an inevitable economic change. But if you find the confederate flag an ongoing problem, consider it well. What groups like black lives matter are seeding today will grow into new hate that gives more should-be-dead symbols power they never originally had.

Where is a good site to buy high quality Confederate flag stuff? Like a really good deal flag or something to frame on the wall?
Go to your local Army Navy store for a Trump flag at least
Not sure they’ll have Confederate flag

Their manufacture and sell will be outlawed soon I suspect. Get em while you can.

VERY few people understand what reconstruction was like in the South. It was basically living under a totalitarian Bolshevik regime. This book should be required reading.

have seen more confederate flags this morning than I have in the last couple of years combined.

As Mosby wrote after the war, the South was my country.

Reconstruction was terrible, Johnson wanted to punish the south as much as he could. If Lincoln didn't get shot then I believe he would have treated the south much better.

You would have also had a real possibility of "back to Africa"

To be fair, it was a battle flag...
And less than 1% that fought owned slaves, so your statement is more of a rebranding than the truth.
That guy that died in the street at Chancellorsville wasn't fighting to own people.

Growing up that flag did not represent hate and bigotry and slavery at all.
It was just a symbol of Southern culture
I don't know where you grew up but where I grew up a Confederate flag flying somewhere meant "black people, we don't like you so stay away"

I'm a old Gen-x boy from the South raised in Mobile, Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Growing up that flag did not represent hate and bigotry and slavery at all. It was just a symbol of Southern culture, of being a beer drinker and hell raiser that loved the South, Southern rock, Southern girls, Southern food, hunting and fishing, Southern football. Raisin hell on Saturady, in church on Sunday. We were damn proud to be from the South. I still am.
Exactly! Right on point! I’ve been telling people this since NASCAR banned Confederate flags. Nothing more southern than NASCAR.

Probably not outlawed but the manufacturer will be doxxed to the extent they stop manufacturing them and donate 2/3 of their holdings to black charities.

When I went through Tampa a couple of years ago there was a huge Confederate flag flying right next to the highway. Anybody know I'd it's still there? Who ever owns it has to have some big ol brass balls, especially if they're still flying it today

We have a couple of those in Virginia. They’re on private land and supported by a private foundation.

My grandfather had a large amount of confederate money in his dresser drawer . He was born in the1890s in Coffeeville MS. He wasn’t a racist but he was a Rebel .Taught me to love the South and to respect everyone until they lost it.
