Yet they are safer at their malls.
Agreed...however just getting there is a nightmare. Metro Manila averages 156 vehicle accidents "every day" and traffic is mostly at a standstill most of the time from the videos I've seen.

Malls are for Boomers. They are relics of the past.

I am seriously thinking on the expat thing in the Philippines. 6- 8 months out of each year. Cost of living is unreal
Have you watched "Old dog, new tricks" on Youtube? He's been there 6 yrs and gives his take on how things work there..very interesting. There have been some really sad stories from him on expat's mistakes and how to avoid them.

you're comparing the best malls in Asia to old outdated products in Alabama?

Patton Creek is dying. Lots of vacancies. The anchor stores, Dicks and AMC, are still there, but for how long?

The USA peaked somewhere in the 90's, I believe.

All American malls are just extensions of their nearest ghetto because they all just go there to walk around, not buy anything and cause trouble.

Peak Tigerdroppings.
For a board that you'd expect to be pro-America, it puts down America any chance they can get.

My guess is that until technology makes another advance, there will still be a demand, even though it’s a smaller demand, for brick and mortar shopping centers.
...my guess will be that in ,say 5 years, brick and mortar stores will make a huge comeback with the fact shipping rates are skyrocketing.

Yep let me tell you…I go to the food court at the Galleria in Hoover once in a blue moon(usually drug there by my daughter who has a couple of specific drinks she likes). To me, it’s like most all there are having a contest to see who can out freak or out ghetto the next person. I almost feel they are having a contest I’m not aware of so I’m not dressed for the occasion. It’s pretty bad and it’s sad as well.

Many countries have figured out they can dump those people on us that cause their society issues.

Come on.
Our poor are far worse behaving than the poor of many nations, even if the standard of living is higher.
Shit, our wealthy are worse behaving...

When I was young, you could order anything out of the sears catalog. Now it's Amazon. Once upon a time nearly every mall had a sears store as an anchor.

Can you get an orange Julius in Manila ?
Definitely believable.
Bon Marche and Cortana both lasted about 30 years, give or take, before demographics fricked both.
Mall of LA is hanging in there but it is a massive step down from even 10 years ago despite the plaza area opening.

Feral
Democrats ruined the Galleria in Birmingham. I grew up in Hoover and it was nice but thugs have ruined the malls in Hoover. The last time I was in the Galleria the thugs were walking around with pit bulls on leashes inside the mall. My wife and daughter were in there and there was a shooting. They frick up everything!

In my parent’s day, everything meant the kitchen sink and even the house surrounding it.
