Comments from lefties on Reddit about the CHAZ

TLDR: They're actually mostly in agreement with the right wingers.

r/SeattleWA
quote:
That's the point, sadly. It's the far-left doing this, which will cause a backlash, leading to people on the right getting in.
I'd like to introduce my people on the left to the word "populism". It's what gets you people like Trump. And Sawant. Except if they're on your "team", you let them have a free pass even if they're raving idiot or a raving lunatic, or screwing you blind.
quote:
Right. Leftism is at its end in america. The far right will gain more and more ground in the coming years, and they have no one to blame but themselves. As a leftist myself, the last few weeks were the worst thing they couldve done. Its all so fricking depressing.
quote:
Im sorry but what exactly do they think the end game is here? I'm sorry but you're not going to wall off an entire section of the city and claim it's yours and that it's' "autonomous" I get that things need to change but this fantasy LARP seems pretty ridiculous.
quote:
Eh, I was in the neighborhood earlier in the day and all I saw were a handful of bored-looking (presumably) BLM activists standing around a tent with a pile of "resources" (i.e. random handouts they've gotten). I'm sure more people will show up during the evening to wave signs and the likes of Kshama Sawant will use it as an opportunity to grandstand.
My prediction is that with no police left to rage at this will fizzle out within a few days. If it does linger on, it will probably go the way of Occupy Seattle, and turn into a glorified homeless camp that eventually wears out its welcome in the neighborhood.

Seriously. I laughed so hard at this it caused an abdominal spasm and I damn near shat my pants. I couldn’t even read it out loud. I had to hand over my iPad and point to it like a fricking chimp.
quote:
This shite convinces me that American marxism is impossible. As soon as you start to talk about economic inequality it'll immediately get hijacked by people who think any anti-establishment protest is a place to soapbox about weed, trussy, and race.
quote:
I moved from a super woke hipster neighborhood in a large city to a very rural farmhouse where the closest town has a Dollar General, a bar, a gas station and a pizza shop, that’s it. Honestly, I have better (more receptive) political conversations here. In the city I was a racist class reductionist, here I’m a leftist “but more sensible than the rest,” according to the 50 years old conservative friendly guy I run into regularly at the bar and talk to.
quote:
The CHAZ is already falling apart because its head honcho got metoo-ed and the place is completely unarmed. Literally the mayor told the cops to stop fighting back and pulled them out of the area and a bunch of fat anarkiddies were like "dis is a grate victory for anarchism :DDD"
quote:
Well actually I’ve seen several pictures of the area, organizers, and what they’re doing thanks to r/Seattle and such. It appears to be a group of about 30-40(tops) occupying empty road. Occupying is a loose term because they are actually living and getting food from outside of it.
Also the organizers are fat transbians, their meetings are completely impractical and they spend 90% of their time talking about black people and/or Indians, who they of course have opened the Chaz to(don’t think any have taken the offer though lol). Oh yeah also the city council doesn’t even care.

Twitter is the complete opposite and actually applauding what is happening in Seattle

Funny.
Do people have any clue what "far right" actually means? When the left moves completely off the spectrum of any free society, then I guess anything else is "right."

Apparently, r/SeattleWA is the more sane version of r/Seattle (which is way off the reservation)

In all of this mess, it is interesting that Baltimore didn't riot, loot and burn itself down again. I guess they found that that didn't actually help improve their lives and a lot of those stores they now miss aren't coming back.

My brain doesn't comprehend this level of stupid

Saw this on their site.

Hm, interesting observation.

Twitter is the a-hole of the internet. I've been reading comments on the twitter videos posted here, and damn, it's hard to bite my tongue. I actually created a "fake" account meaning I didn't use any real info in creating it.
I am still worried about someone doxxing me and losing my job. I work at a very liberal place.
But the reflex of going off on the idiots on twitter is hard to suppress. I usually type the response to get that feeling out and then quickly delete it.

I don't want to generalize everyone, but this is my experience as well. Conservatives actually will have a discussion with you.
Liberals will call you a racist, homophobe for having any opinion differing from theirs.

Go read the Mayor and Governor tweets. They're getting destroyed.

Yes, that is actually a very interesting point.
Glad to see some people learned from their mistakes.
Take a look around the internet. Plenty of black business owners in areas with their hearts and lives destroyed from the looting and rioting. They didn't want or deserve this at all.

You radical left democrats. I just don't know what's wrong with you people. You want things like houses! medicine! for the cops to stop murdering you arbitrarily in the street and in your homes!
Radical extremists!

BREAKING: The Radical Left Democrats and the American Taliban in Seattle, Washington have just committed the atrocity of planting a garden in a city park. Send in the military immediately! LAW & ORDER! #thursdaymorning

"Radical Left Democrats" want a peaceful society with Healthcare, education, and income equality.
Radical White Terrorists hate men, women, and children of color, and commit acts of mass murder.
The "president" only has a problem with ONE of these groups.
quote:
Bc armed men w/guns is the accepted order. Gentle ppl sharing food, making art, teaching peace & shunning violence - that's what terrorizes thugs like Trump.
I cant think of anything that would benefit America more than Radical Left Democrats. Unfortunately, I've never seen one.
quote:
Trump: "Domestic Terrorists have taken over Seattle, run by Radical Left Democrats, of course. LAW & ORDER!"
Why didn't you say this when armed white vigilantes stormed the Michigan state house?
quote:
Bro. What about that Jesus guy?!
Definitely one of those Radical Left Democrats! Jesus, what an a-hole.
quote:
You're beating the drum of hatred yet again. Domestic Terrorists have not taken over Seattle. It is not run by Radical Left Democrats, just Democrats. We can have law and order without violence. Time for you to go now.
quote:
Those radical left democrats are the CITIZENS OF SEATTLE you worthless buffoon!
quote:
THERE ARE PROTESTS AROUND THE USA AND THE ENTIRE WORLD!ITS NOT RADICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS,OR TERRORISTS!IM A REPUBLICAN FROM TEXAS AND ATTENDED A RALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!PLAN ON DOING MANY MORE!IM A WHITE AMERICAN,NO ANTIFA HERE!AMERICANS R SICK OF TRUMPS LIES RACISM HATE

Who are the "Radical Left Democrats" John? The #Resistance as trump claims? There are a few of us John, maybe 100,000,000, and we hear trump denigrating us every fricking day. And we're voting in November. ??
quote:
Radical Left Democrats is the sort of thing a Tin Pot Dictator says while barricading himself in a bunker after gassing his own people to take a photo-op, a week after accusing a TV anchor of a murder that didn't happen, and pushing drugs that don't cure a pandemic he ignored.

quote:Wow, they sound defeated.
Right. Leftism is at its end in america. The far right will gain more and more ground in the coming years
And here I am thinking the exact opposite will happen. There is absolutely no push back from the right against this absolute absurdity that we're witnessing from coast to coast.

When the needle is at 90 degrees to the left even a needle leaning slightly left is "far right"

LOL, yeah, i closed an account that had my info in it. Opened one that's anonymous and haven't looked back. You cannot engage in politics on twitter and reveal who you are unless you have a blue check mark. Otherwise, you will get doxxed or harassed until the cows come home. Like you, don't want to lose my job or blacklisted.
