This country is already gone. Trump was our best hope and he isn't enough for the swamp. Maybe one day it will come down to the citizens and their arms. Will it be enough to fight off tyranny again? Who knows

Yep. If they were gonna nail him- they would have already done it.
I expect the IG report to be full of “lack of candor”, etc, but no obstruction.
Notice - if you’re a swamp creature, it’s “lack of candor”. If you’re a target of the swamp, it’s “obstruction of justice”.
Same crime. Two tiers of justice on full display.

I'm skeptical as well, but they were reporting this afternoon that the Comey specific IG report includes a criminal referral. Dam I hope that is accurate.

I think the IG report will be damning, but it's just the appetizer. The abuses of the FISA process is Comey's biggest nightmare.

Nothing will happen. There are laws for 3 groups of people. The deep state, billionaires and the deplorables. Deep state can do what they want. Nothing will happen. Obama being elected could have been the best thing to happen to our country. But, it didnt happen. It turns out it was the worse thing. It's all downhill from here.

Has the DOJ ever prosecuted someone for lying under oath or leaking classified information?
A few nobodies pled guilty to those lesser crimes in the Mueller investigation, but none of them were initially investigated based on those charges. Those were the final "we got Jack shite on the real crimes so you have to get a win on these bullshite charges" orders after everything else fell apart.
If Comey was being prosecuted for such a slap on the wrist that nobody actually gives a frick about I would be concerned.
Go big or go home.
Treason or civil war.
I don't need a participation trophy prosecution to feel good about this. I want justice.

I am hoping (feeble hope) that that was just a tactical decision - a declination to prosecute is not final is it? - can there be benefit to wait for a consolidated indictment involving numerous offenses, rather than go to trial with some subset of the overall criminal activity which may not represent such a strong case - where a 'not guilty' verdict on the partial offense would diminish the chances for conviction on the larger elements of the overall crime.
/\ know very little about criminal procedures /\ but that is my 'comfort' explanation for Barr not issuing an indictment now.
