It’s just north of Houston. It’s a massive settlement, but there’s hardly any news that will cover it.

Louisiana politicians may be clowns, but Texan politicians are whores for anyone and anything that brings more money.

NGO fueled real estate development? Sure, why not!

Some D-10 dozers can fix that problem.

And earlier this year an illegal immigrant in the area killed five neighbors, a family who was also here illegally, after they reportedly asked him to stop firing his semi-automatic rifle into the air late one night.

I remember that story. That was in Colony Ridge.

They’re not sending their best.

This is awesome. They're all in one spot. Setup roadblocks on every street that exits that development and send in ICE with a bunch of buses and load them up for a trip back across the border. Then let the developer and the banks that funded that shite go bankrupt when it's turned into a ghost town.

I have read there are numerous environmental concerns going on but where is the Left on this destruction of our planet?

Sounds like a good place for ICE to spend a week. Make this developer go bankrupt.

Glen Beck did a few stories on it about 2 years ago. It was one developer that basically bought off every politician he needed to. I think Ken Paxton was trying to do something, but must have never got anything done. The developer is working with a bank and will get the illegals in on a highly inflated mortgage. They’ll eventually lose their job and can’t pay. They get kicked out and the next illegal moves in and the process starts over.

William Harris of Huntsville, TX gave $100,000 to Greg Abbott’s campaign in 2020.

He gave $5,000 to Briscoe Cain.

$300,000 to Abbott in 2019.

$1,000 to Earnest Bailes

$300,000 to Abbott in 2022.

Another $300,000 to Abbott in 2022.

Another $5025 to Briscoe Cain in 2022.

how close to "The Villages" is it? When I used to have to drive back & forth from Houston to Monroe those frickers would ticket everyone going 5mph over the limit.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

We are being sold down the river.

I had forgotten that part, but you’re right. Big donor of Abbotts and, of course, he’s not saying anything about it.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Justice Department today sued Colony Ridge, a Texas-based developer and lender, for operating an illegal land sales scheme and targeting tens of thousands of Hispanic borrowers with false statements and predatory loans. The lawsuit filed in federal district court alleges Colony Ridge sells unsuspecting families flood-prone land without water, sewer, or electrical infrastructure, and that the company sets borrowers up to fail with loans they cannot afford. Roughly 1-in-4 Colony Ridge loans ends in foreclosure, after which the company repurchases the properties and sells them to new borrowers. The CFPB and Justice Department are seeking redress for borrowers harmed by Colony Ridge and an immediate end to its illegal practices. This is the CFPB’s first federal court lawsuit charging a defendant with violations of the Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act.
