It’s a figure of speech. Colin doesn’t give a crap about black kids or any other minority for that matter and he certainly doesn’t care about hockey. He cares about continuing to advance a narrative. Remember when Colin refused to accept endorsement money from Nike due to its roots of child labor and mistreatment of people of color? Yeah, me neither.

The NHL doesn't officially ban the number 69, but it's unofficially discouraged due to its sexual connotation. While two players have worn it, Mel Angelstad and Andrew Desjardins, it's generally avoided by players and teams. According to hockey information sites, the number is considered inappropriate and players who choose it risk being the subject of jokes

I know a white guy who did 2 years prison for allegedly raping a co worker...
He said the black culture in prison made him really dislike and not trust black people..
he has two daughters around age 13 playing hockey... I think in part because he wants his children as far away as possible from minorities...

seriously, we need equality. Each team should have to carry 5 white americans. No, they are not as talented as others that would have to be cut, but, in the name of equality, it is the right thing to do. They also must be Americans that were born here, not overseas. We need the league to represent the demographics of the country....and 5 is not near enough to be honest.
It is funny that is their thinking for minorities as it relates to the workforce...but when it comes to things like the NBA, that is Different

Hockey is actually really hard and requires year round work at it against good players in areas of the world where you actually play hockey 12 months a year.
You don't just throw an "athlete" onto the ice with zero experience halfway through his childhood and have him start playing against boys from Canada and Minnesota that learned how to ice skate before they could walk like a Black NHLer like PK Subban did growing up in Canada starting as a toddler. I guess they think it must be "easy enough" if a bunch of Whites can do it.
But hey, I get it. Hockey has too many Whites and they wanna do something about it!

Has this idiot ever heard of PK Subban? All he has to do is turn on ESPN during hockey season and he is right there in front of a camera doing the pre and postgame coverage. Same for TNT. They have a black guy doing the same thing.
It has nothing to do with race and more to do with large sections of this country do not grow up playing hockey white or black folks. Most Pro hockey players come from Canada, Europe, or Russia. The U.S. is starting to catch up with them though. There are several teams that have Black players today. It’s more common than you think.

Oh. So not poorer Whites with 4 brothers whose parents can't afford all the gear, travel, lessons, and time to dedicate their entire existence to their sons hockey pursuits.
But POC who probably think you can just show up a couple times a week to the rink and "dominate". Very few PK Subbans in the world

And I'd suggest baseball instead, but you kinda have to have a dad to lug you around, to throw you BP, and know how to be a good hitting coach for you. So that eliminates a lot there
