CNN's new narrative that Iowa shouldn't be first because it's "too white".

This is just...kind of unreal. We all know what happened last night. Whether this was intentional or truly just unfettered incompetence, the system in place to tabulate and collate votes completely failed. End of story.

And yet, watching CNN last night and today, they're all talking about how the DNC needs to move away from Iowa - not because of systematic failures like last night, but because it's "too white".

Lemon, Van Jones, Cuomo, etc, and others have been complaining about this non-stop since last's night debacle, claiming that we can't start this process in Iowa because it's not diverse enough and doesn't accurately represent the Democratic voter base. This talking point has just come out of nowhere and makes zero sense given that we know the cause of the problem.

It's absolutely bizarre.

The problem is that the Dem party’s main choices take an early hit with Iowa and New Hampshire going first because those are hugely white bread.

Hillary or someone else making a commanding win in SC or Nevada would blunt Iowa or NH’s impact.

Who was the last Republican candidate to get more black and Hispanic votes than Trump?

Probably Nixon in 1960 or Eisenhower in 1956.

Things didn’t polarize along racial lines until after LBJ.

Can you imagine if Sean Hannity said, "You can't take inner-city polling seriously because it's way too black."

Dude would be fired on the spot, and leftists would probably be howling for hate speech charges to be filed against him.

PS - Still glad to be white. Let the Globalists and race-baiters have their day. They still can't touch the most accomplished race of people, BY FAR, in the history of the planet. Remember, you have to be exemplary before you are the object of envy and jealousy.

I thought Iowa was first because it was a small state, so it gave a shot for a candidate who wasn't as well funded to get some momentum (and raise money) before getting into bigger states that count for more delegates.

I guess CNN just wants New York or California to go first so only 2-3 candidates with the most funding or that are the media darlings have any shot.

Typical. They want to change the system AFTER they don’t get what they want. The dildo assault teams are assembling now to strike a blow for the left

Bet you wouldn't be hearing this if:

turnout was higher than 2016 and it wasn't a clusterfrick

The Dem party is still 70% white. The act that it's a party of minorities is what will sink it.

Simple. They should swap in the order with New Hampshire. Problem solved.

For many decades, people have been asking whether Iowa and New Hampshire are really the best states for the first two contests. There are some reasons “yes” and some reasons “no.” Very ethnically-homogenous populations are one of the reasons “no,” but certainly not the only ones.

Super Tuesday arose precisely from the desire of more-representative states to have a voice earlier in the process. Basically, it was a compromise to prevent Iowa and New Hampshire from scheduling ever-earlier primaries just to maintain primacy in the voting order.

Problem being that NH and IA are still gatekeepers.

Anyone not showing signs of life by the end of NH is dead in the water and all donors dry up.

I’d prefer to cycle things so that IA and NH are first some cycles and NV and SC are first some cycles, but the current push to kill IA’s spot is pretty transparently because the Dem’s chosen candidates can’t win convincingly there.

A rotating order is one of the good proposals.

I also like the proposals that “group” states, such that each group contains large and small, north and south, rural and urban, etcetera. The problem is cost. That system is almost a death sentence to a smaller campaign.

The Dems are racist and their voters are extremely retarded. Their party promoted 1 person of color for presidency and he was only 1/2 black. All of the possible candidates are white men and one woman who still believes she’s an Indian. It’s quite a site to see their base scream and holler for equality, then turn around and pump old white men every 4 years.
