Two things could be happening.
The conspiracy: they are setting us up for the huge swing in numbers from the fraudulent mail-in ballots. They have recently released polls heavily weighted towards Biden in the elderly population. Trump won the elderly population last time. This is largely where the ballots are being harvested: nursing homes, retirement communities and the like.
Or, Trump is in trouble. I think it is best to assume this so that people get motivated to vote.

Occams razor= Trump is in deep crap. This board will be sorely disappointed next month. I am in shock that the worst candidate possible will win.

If you all don't believe the polls, why do you all feel the need to bring them here and shite them all over this board day and night?
This board is literally nothing but:
1. Look at this poll
2. If I were Trump, Trump should, etc cringe
3. DID YOU SEE JUAN WILLIAMS, CHRIS WALLACE, (ENTER LIMP DICK COMMUNICATIONS MAJOR WHO IS ON TV HERE) on TV HE or SHE SAID THIS AHHHHH IM SO MAD
I'm sure you're great people, but the Pol board has the greatest concentration of just awful posters. Just bottom on the barrel shite level internet posters. It's like a Boomer's Facebook feed.

-pollsters do not select the respondents....so while the party affiliation/demographics dont match the typical election breakout it's not done on purpose.
-pollsters/media are not doing the proper job of qualifying the poll results by including a statement that the respondent demographics differ from a typical election
-most of the national polls are the ones that are way off for some reason. I've seen a couple of state polls that were much closer to reality.
For reference the last two elections:
2016 - 31% Pub, 35% dem, 34% Other
2018 - 31% Pub, 35% dem, 33% Other
You should weight any national polls against the numbers above.

Once again, CNN had Hillary up by double digits a week before the election.
Their poll is trash and anyone who believes it is an idiot.

If these crazy polls were accurate then Biden would either be waiting it out in his basement or living in Texas. Flipping Texas in a runaway election would be the exclamation point on a claim of a national mandate. It would be like Republicans flipping New York or Massachusetts in a wipeout year.

What’s happening is Republicans are keeping their mouths shut until it’s voting booth time.

So you actually believe this shite over other polls with better backup that say something completely different
Posted on 10/6/20 at 9:56 am to RidiculousHype
Let's just say that if Biden wins, this country is more fricked up than imaginable and is literally beyond saving.

This is the definition of push poll. Completely inaccurate.

They have Biden winning women by 34 points.
This just sounds crazy to me. This is just me of course but of the women I know and I’m a woman myself I would say the opposite is true ~ 70% for Trump from what I can tell. I’m obv in the south though and live in a different bubble than big city folks.

Conservatives are less likely to answer a CNN poll....period.

This CNN poll is included in the RCP average, which is cited often as a general idea of who's winning.
Some insist the polls are wrong b/c they're missing a large % of Trump voters. Some of us like to dig into the evidence to see if that's true. With a gender split of 66-32 in favor of Biden that tells me they're missing something.

I mean, I posted about a statistical anomaly in a major media outlet poll. You posted... that everyone sucks? I guess others can decide who's contributing more.

My wife has been polled twice this cycle and has refused to say her party affiliation or who she is voting for. She's 100% Trump.

That’s funny. I needed a good laugh

This site has more high level conversation about the true state of the race than any other place on the internet.
Sorry if you don’t enjoy politics or breaking down polls.
ETA: the fact that polls like this make it into the RCP average is a joke.

[quote]I don't know anyone voting for Biden
this seems really off...
but then again, turn on TV, turn on social media, you realize we have wackos in our country....many of them teachers[/quott
This is a big part of what is wrong with many of you.....you don’t know any of “them” yet you are convinced “ they” are out to destroy your way of life. The same is true of liberals where there are few conservatives. I know lots of both and am good friends with both. There ain’t a nickels difference but as long ask it is them and us the differences seem stark and threatening. Too many people never venture far from their birthplace and never meet anybody with different experiences

That 34 pt difference isn’t real for whatever reason.
no shite huh? for whatever reason? hmmm...wonder what that could be?

What should concern Trump is the trend of women in these polls.
what trend? if the polls are flawed then any "trend" they show are also flawed.

They have no idea. “I don’t know anyone voting for Biden.”
I’m from Louisiana. I’ve lived in 3 other states. Trump, on average, is more hated than any public figure I’m aware of, ever.
My advice to those who want a new and more accurate perspective of just how unpopular the guy is... travel outside the Deep South and stop going to dive bars.
