Okay then ask Nixon and Ford too.
You think dissing on Nixon is a "gotcha" that pisses me off?
Carter kept the Nixon price controls in place his entire Presidency, and it wasn't until immediately after Reagan took office that the price controls were abolished.

These people fricking fail economics forever.
Give people too much money, prices go up.
Put price controls out there, you get shortages unless you start limiting quantities that can be purchased.
Start limiting quantities and people will buy shite they don’t need because they don’t know if they can get it when they DO need it.
See Carter, Jimmy, and energy policy.

Two possibilities -
1. Dems are too goddamn dumb to understand economics
2. Top Dems know EXACTLY what they are doing and are trying to crash the economy
Honestly, #2 is likely. If the Dems were trying to frick up this country intentionally, what would they have done differently since Potato Joe took over?

If you truly want revolution do this. Shortages lead to rumbling bellies. Rumbling bellies are bad for politics...real bad.

And unlike Venezuela, the populace here is armed.

Maybe they should consider controlling the market on those overpriced hosts they have as they don’t provide useful commentaries , content is void of fact and the end users are I’ll informed overall

big coperations are raking in record profits and the american consumer is paying for it. Inflation is out of control and they are using that as an excuse to raise the price of almost all goods. Shouldnt this inflation affect their bottom line also? CNN sucks arse but just blaming rising prices on inflation and not massive profit taking is bullshite.
These corporations have investors. Investors are people like you and me. People invest in companies for many things, most often, for retirement.
When inflation happens, the cost of doing business rises for these corporations. They are “for profit” businesses that are owned by many stockholders from many backgrounds.
If they do not show good ratios and keep good margins, investors may panic and sell their stock. As investors sell their stock, the price of the stock drops. When the price of the stock drops, the company is worth less to other potential investors.
If their competition is a better investment, investors will support them instead, further damaging their company.
To combat this, they raise their sales prices and pass it to the consumer, knowing most consumers cannot go without many of their goods. All of this to satisfy their investors.
Investors are usually us.
Price controls do not work
Try to get an apartment in Sweden. In some places they may have to wait ten years due to price control ceilings.
There aren’t enough apartments to satisfy demand due to the low prices.

this is true but they are passing more than inflation onto the amercan consumer. price control is not the answer but letting big corporations have record years of profit while the consumer pays 40% on average more for most goods is total bullshite.

The producer price index went up over 9%.
Do you know what that means.
Of course you don't. You bought that whole "it's big meat raising prices" bs Joe was spewing.

Price controls would buy time to deal with bottlenecks

These people are completely immune to experience

so the producer index goes into the cost of the producers goods, got it. its up 24.4% in one year. now lets break down the price of oil, food, and a few other items that are over 40% increase in price. so the cost of goods is far outpacing the index rising over the last year.
if you read something besides headlines about the beef market , you will see that ranchers and consumers are taking the hit on prices while the slaughter houses are taking higher profits. It doesnt make you a communist to see that these companies are unchecked and need to be.
