It doesn't take a genius to be a good representative of the people. What it does take is character and integrity, which is what the OP described and what we need more if in DC.

That's a pretty high bar to clear. Mazie Horono and the recently defeated Kamala Harris are both dumber by a mile. Not to mentioned those Marxist loving members of the Squad. While there are a number of GOP congressman who need to be introduced to the business end of a rope (along with every Democrat) Clay Higgins loves this country and is fighting the good fight against the woke crowd.

Like I said I’m glad you got it done because family first. My point is sometimes we pull a bigger trigger a little too fast. I’ve been tempted to do so on my son’s behalf and he’s backed me down. He’s active duty army and there has been some shite go down where I’m tempted to call friends in Congress.
My response probably sounded a lot more judgmental than I intended.
I hope all goes well for your wife from here on out. One small suggestion is to look into something like the Creighton method for fertility and hormones for a woman. It made a huge difference for my ex in terms of mental health.

He's a Congressman who did almost nothing to fight for federal money for the area. That's his job and what I'm criticizing.
