Clarence Thomas: 'the modern-day liberal' is worse than Klansmen

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas reportedly recalled threats posed by the Ku Klux Klan when discussing how liberals impeded his career.
His comments came during a new documentary -- "Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words" -- in which he reflects on the difficulties he faced during his confirmation battle in 1991.
"I felt as though in my life I had been looking at the wrong people as the people who would be problematic toward me. We were told that, 'Oh, it's gonna be the bigot in the pickup truck; it's gonna be the Klansmen; it's gonna be the rural sheriff,'" Thomas says in a new documentary, according to ABC News.
"But it turned out that through all of that, ultimately the biggest impediment was the modern-day liberal," he added. "They were the ones who would discount all those things because they have one issue or because they have the power to caricature you."
The film is set to be released in early 2020, nearly 30 years after he assumed his spot on the nation's highest court.

What. A. Total. Bad. arse.
Mad respect for you, Justice Thomas. Please don’t retire. Hold on till Trump is re-elected, you write the opinions reversing NYT v. Sullivan, eliminating these idiotic national injunctions and returning the issue of abortion to the states (where it belongs)

No shite, clarence.
At least during the Democrat klan days, there were a lot of platforms that criticized them.
For the authoritarian libs now.. 99.9% of media supports them. Hollywood supports them. All major tech companies support them. Our permanent government top brass supports them. We're labeled as nazis, by all those platforms, if we criticize them.

If it was up to modern day white liberals then minorities would be back on the plantation. Fortunately we have conservatives who put a halt to that.

I read a good piece on Thomas from Vox or the Atlantic or somewhere about the black nationalist origins of Thomas' judicial philosophy. He draws a lot from the individualism and determinism of early Malcolm X and related intellectuals.
The jist is that the American legal, judicial, educational, and commercial institutions have been and may always be racially prejudiced against black people (esp black men), and therefore, black men must be granted the maximum latitude to govern themselves to prosperity.
To the author of the piece and the main contributor to it's substance (another author with a biography of Thomas), this was incredibly dangerous and fatalistic. To collectivists, establishing moral (social conservatism) and legal (moral universalism + tough on crime) standards with little safety net is putting blacks in a cage and pulling up the ladder of escape. Of course, to Thomas, most liberals, and conservatives, you are fomenting commercial, intellectual, and cultural growth.

Yep, he ain’t wrong. Modern day liberals are the biggest racist I’ve ever seen, and it’s hard to understand till a minority leaves the plantation, till they aren’t serving their intellectual conceited masters, anymore ..

Or as Frederick Douglass said in reference to a black man "let him alone".

Well, Biden also has his old adversaries Corn Pop and "Boom Boom" Cannon to appear in Biden commercials talking about how they fought with Joe as kids but it was never about race and Joe always was honest, honorable and fair.
