Montgomery county judge offered to host the convention today. This is the county just above harris county where Houston sits. Also the Montgomery county sheriff also told the governor to pound sand on his county enforcing the mask order. Said if businesses require it so be it but his office would not ticket people for walking around in public without a mask.

So the reason for them mask laws and continued isolationist policies. Just in time for the State Republican Convention. Timing is always important.

Its almost always exclusive to large urban areas.
NYC, LA, Chicago, and Houston are all dem strongholds. The next 5 on the list probably are as well. Doesn't represent the majority of the state.
