Dude, they have outright admitted to have been operating on US soil like 50 years ago. The Church Committee (Senate Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations With Respect to Intelligence Activities) back in 1975.
During this proceeding, then CIA Director William Colby told the committee outright and under oath that the CIAs mission with the US would not be complete until everything Americans heard through the media was a complete and total fabrication. You can hear it in his own words. It's on YouTube.
