I've got limited experience in that area, but IIRC, that stuff typically has a ton of H2S in it

Excellent! That's a specialty for the company I work for. We separate the H2 and sell it in pure form.

Yes.

Peak discovery occurred in the 60s.

Unless you think petroleum is a renewable resource, peak oil is inevitable. Sorry.

Oil is a renewable resource as long as the carbon cycle and sedimentation are a thing.

It isn't new, wasn't just found. I'm always amazed how terrible these articles are. It shows how little we all really know about any industry we don't work in.

Only if it's being replenished at a rate faster than production.

...and then only if you don't believe the Earth is only 3,000 years old.

Looks like TigerAxe might need to reconsider my choice to not apply for the refinery job in NM...

The USGS updated the proven/probable reserves of the wolfcamp, a well known formation that's been producing for years. These sensationalist headlines are odd.

I’m ignorant on the subject, but my common sense tells me that the only oil in the earth is from dinosaurs and is not renewable is extremely hard to believe.

Let’s make good use of all of above (oil, gas, wind, solar, water, etc.)

Private industry and capitalism will make this work for everyone’s benefit.

Al Gore is a POS fraud and so is the idea that government and higher taxes, and destroying our economy and all the leftist BS is a better way to go.

Global warming! OMG!
