Christine Blasey Ford and the Saga of Her 2 Front Doors -- In Detail

I had some time this morning and pieced together some facts about CBF's 2 front doors.

First Blasey's testimony

The reason this came up in counseling is that my husband and I had completed a very extensive, very long remodel of our home and I insisted on a second front door, an idea that he and others disagreed with and could not understand.

In explaining why I wanted a second front door, I began to describe the assault in detail. I recall saying that the boy who assaulted me could someday be on the U.S. Supreme Court, and spoke a bit about his background at an elitist all-boys school in Bethesda, Maryland. FORD: Well, I think that the sequelae of sexual assault varies by person, so for me personally, anxiety, phobia and PTSD-like symptoms are the types of things that I’ve been coping with. So, more specifically, claustrophobia, panic and that type of thing.

FEINSTEIN: Is that the reason for the second door — front door…

FORD: Correct.

FEINSTEIN: … is claustrophobia?

FORD: Correct. It doesn’t — our house does not look aesthetically pleasing from the curb.

FEINSTEIN: I see. And do you have that second front door?

FORD: Yes.

FEINSTEIN: It’s…

FORD: It — it now is a place to host Google interns. Because we live near Google, so we get to have — other students can live there.

FEINSTEIN: Can you tell us, is there any other way this has affected your life?

FORD: The primary impact was in the initial four years after the event.

Background:
Plans for Blasey's 753SqFt remodel ( LINK) were laid out Jan2006. They were approved Oct 20, 2007 ( LINK). It appears Palo Alto awarded the permit without the extra door. It was added during the construction, presumably using claustrophobia as an excuse. The extra door was in place for years prior to Blasey's infamous 2012 therapy session.

We know subsequent to the addition, the Ford's have rented out a room. That rental is listed as 3872 Duncan Pl #B Palo Alto, CA 94306 ( LINK) at the Ford's home address. It is apparently currently rented to Sylvia A. Randall PhD ( LINK).

The Ford's rental does not meet Palo Alto Zoning Requirements for a 2nd dwelling either in terms of lot space or parking. Rentals for such rooms run $1500-$2000/mo. The Ford's have obvious financial incentive to maintain that rental.

In or around 2012, Palo Alto advanced efforts to ferret out illegal tenancies like the one the Ford's were/are operating. In the meantime, the Fords have made obvious efforts to hide the separate tenant's entrance, and if discovered, to explain it away.

Regarding the two front-door entrance claustrophobia claim, there also appears over the years to be a constant collection of obstructing materials (a bike, boxes of some sort, an old door, a gate, etc) in the walkway leading to the Ford's main entrance. It is an odd picture considering Blasey's claimed psychological impediments. (see images below)

It would be nice if the FBI pursued this as well.
