You are correct. I should have said that we are to unless it goes against our belief in God.

This does not mean you take an experimental shot claimed to be a vaccine, but does not fit the definition of a vaccine.

Christ here was not endorsing the power of the State but delineating the difference between man’s temporal realm and God’s eternal realm. Caesar’s realm derives it’s power from manipulation and violent coercion while God’s heavenly power is based in mercy and compassion. Christ is not instructing his followers to submit to Caesar’s realm but to reject the blasphemous claims of Caesar’s coinage — that Caesar is a God among men.

Who should be considered Caesar in a free self governing society?

By the consent of the governed.

Our constitution is set that if the government sneezes wrong its in trouble. Its a garbage bin where the states agreed to dump the bitc h work. It got its power from the federal reserve where it could then bribe states with blood money.

There are two from Peter, read them again carefully ...Read before and after...You'll gain in wisdom after reading what the two are about .....Not what you think.

"governmental authorities" ebb and flow in terms of their lawlessness and faithfulness.

Lines get crossed. At some point they abandon being an authority to be followed at all such as the hemorrhaging lawlessness which is now practiced in this country for the last 20-30 years, especially beginning with the Obama regime which crosses yet another line into evil. Not to mention their abandonment of the original founding principle...

Authority will be followed by Christians according to those lines no matter who crosses them

Are Christians called to submit to governmental authorities?
Yes, even when government isn't doing what we think is right. The only exception is where the civil magistrate orders someone to act against God's commands.

Paul seems to be clear in Romans that we are to submit to the civil magistrate, and he was writing during the rule of a pagan emperor.

It’s an application of the 5th commandment: submission to authority.

I'll take what Jesus said "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's".

Should we respect authority/Government? Sure but they have to earn it.
