That's not what the article said at all. It clearly states it was watched by 400k viewers. The 40k was just one (important) demographic.
I hate the guy and network as much as anyone else, but at least be honest.

The thing I absolutely love about this: What did he legitimately think would happen? Did he think that HE brought all those viewers to Fox? Did he honestly think the bluehairs would follow him to XiNN? Their unfettered hatred of that network is insurmountable, and I'm just completely shocked he didn't realize that. He's a bright guy. How did he not know this?
I said this before the last show he had tanked, but even Howard Stern was like "Chris Wallace is leaving Fox and going to CNN? People don't watch CNN. Who the hell is gonna pay for CNN+? Chris Wallace is going to that? Good luck being seen on that thing. I like Chris Wallace - but I'm not gonna pay a monthly service for him..."
