So you're telling me a country as hostile as China and for over a year we couldn't get ONE intelligence person on the ground over there? The "basic shite" has been freely available on the internet in Chinese social media since early January. Confirmed human to human transmission was pretty clearly implied when the ccp started welding people into their apartment buildings if they had a temperature. The only assets that are really useful are those in positions to actually know something important. Those assets take years to develop. Since they will literally be putting their lives on the line, it requires a high degree of trust - and the Chinese have no good reason to trust us when the former Secretary of State was allowed to have a private server that contained the information to out the now executed assets in China and she was given a pass by the FBI. So frick you, dip shite - keep blaming "Mr. Orange" you little socialist troll.

It's amazing how those that rely on cheap Chinese labor and products will do and say anything to deny basic facts about communist China.
I'm familiar with an outfit the produces 100% of their product in China that puts videos on youtube of their production process. It is nonstop talking up China, the Chinese people, etc and they even play Chinese music at the intro while claiming if they made their product in the US it would increase their costs 7 times. Yes, he claims 7 times.
It's a fricking joke and yes the guys that run the company are complete soy boys. Right down to the paper boy hats.
Will have to ask them about the Uyghurs next video they drop.

When I was there in early 2000s, the general I was with said it's the damned Koreans that eat dogs, not us. He didn't specify which type of Korean.
This was in Harbin (curiously enough, they've just had a major breakout of the Chinese V19 flu).
Simple anecdote, not implying anything. Obviously, north Korea is proximate to Harbin, Heilongjiang.
BUT, I do believe the theory that the Chinese triad runs all this shot, with the beneplacit of the government (again, my opinion, think the Triad is even too much for them to handle, AND they get kickbacks).

Yeah, one of my Chinese colleagues tried to tell me they don’t eat dog in China, but there is an actual Dog Meat festival in Yulin every summer. I don’t think it’s popular in the north but is definitely eaten in the south.
