I do not see the tariffs being a permanent issue. Countries are already negotiating on them. If they don't businesses that will be affected by tariffs will start to manufacture those goods in the US to avoid tariffs. Once again prices on things are already falling.

Rogertheretard can't afford.

The importer doesn't want to pay tariff moves business to the US. Country doesn't want to have large tariffs drops tariffs in exchange for other country dropping tariffs. Which is already happening. Not hard to understand.

Ask Roger his 15 percent theory.

Then the idea that tariffs are to protect native industry is a fricking lie.
So which one is it?
"Returning mfg" was the MAGA war cry, now its not.
After years of bashing Free Trade, you people have decided you want it.

Oh no which one is it!
Killshot Corky!

We have tried to tell you the plan. Lutnick as well. Those who refuse to listen will never hear.

Y'alls plan changes hourly.
And most of them are conflicting.

You do realize something can have more than one intended outcome right? For example tariffs could be a way to return businesses to the US while also getting better trade deals. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Not if they are conflicting, anyone with common sense could tell you this.
"Bringing home mfg" and "leveling the playing field" work against each other.
If you ever get your precious "balanced trade" then mfg will leave this country in droves.

It costs more to manufacture things in the US than abroad.
It costs more to buy things manufactured in the US than abroad.
Tariffs don’t make things manufactured in the US cheaper, tariffs just make things manufactured outside the US more expensive (closer to American prices).
None of these things are resulting in lower prices.

Are you trying to get more clothing manufacturing in the US? Electronics? Televisions?

Tariff = tax....importer pays it.....passes on cost ....leading to increase of price of good from that country.

Exactly, posted this the other day.
MAGA hates NAFTA, but Trump negotiated USMCA instead.
Which he now says is unfair and has led to us getting screwed, so now he wants "NAFTA" again.
Their arguments are beyond hilarious.

Nope. It’s quite clear, but you are not an earnest person.

Very. Free trade will not include incentives for mfg to return to this country.
Yall are extremely confused people.
