This Chinese statement is not coming from a position of strength at all.

the only reason they haven't caved is bc of the dems and media....the dems and media are too stupid to realize they are only hurting negotiations on our end but of course they don't want Trump/USA to succeed

That's quite a lot of information coming from a team claiming to have not been in contact with the US, much less in negotiations.
It's almost like the Chinese are .... lying.

If America can only stay the course we will win this bigly. Energy and food are the two things that China gets from us that they can get elsewhere, and both of those markets have fairly inelastic worldwide demand and supply. So if China sources their food or energy from somewhere else then we’ll be able to sell to the market from which it is coming.
On the other hand, if this goes on too long American companies will have to seek other supply chains for the products we get from China. And these products are often much more elastic in terms of demand. So when China loses the American market there is no other market to which they can sell.
This is set up for an easy American victory, except that our people and our media will whine; theirs won’t.
