Of course it is in US dollars

quote:

Ukrainian prosecutors have detained the head of the country's Supreme Court for allegedly taking bribes.

The arrest comes a day after specialist investigators said they had "exposed large-scale corruption" at the court.

Prosecutors did not name the official and said they had not yet been served formally with a "notice of suspicion".

But local media reported on Monday that Chief Justice Vsevolod Kniaziev had been detained in connection with a $3m (£2.4m; €2.9m) bribe.

Reuters said Mr Kniaziev could not be reached for comment.

Ukrainian politician Oleksiy Goncharenko said it was the highest ranking official in the country's history to be arrested for a bribe.

On Monday, Ukraine's Anti-Corruption Bureau said on its Telegram and Facebook social media channels that a joint investigation with the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office had "exposed large-scale corruption in the Supreme Court, namely a scheme for the leadership and judges of the Supreme Court to receive bribes".

I mean, I pretty much just have been under the assumption that we are doing basically nothing but shoveling money to all these people as it is.

Which leads to my question: "Bribe" for what??

So the Chief Justice was dumb enough to have $2.7 million in cash laying around?

You wonder why Nancy Pelosi, Biden, and others made personal trips to Ukraine during the middle of a war?

They’ve always been regarded as an extremely corrupt country.

The only reason our politicians care about the place is because it’s where they go to wash their taxpayer kickbacks they receive.

Almost certainly correct. It was the Soros Open Society Foundation that created the so called Anti-Corruption Bureau in 2014. Soros was placing his agents into Ukraine (Halyna Freeland and many others) as early as 1992 under the guise of 'anti-corruption'.

This. There’s so much $ sloshing around there that’s pocket change comparatively speaking. He pissed the wrong people off and was set up.

They will say Trump did this. If you think there is an honest prosecutor in Ukraine at this point you are a fricking idiot!

I’d just assume that’s their current currency if we’re paying the bills.
