Don't let their dirty little secret out that the bulk of the cities with the highest crime rates are in their own red states.

I don’t understand this talking point. Crime policy is usually set by mayors and city councils.

In red states such as Louisiana, the cities are like 90% black, and we know through data that for whatever reason, blacks commit crime at rates an order of magnitude higher than any other group.

Also, are you seriously trying to argue that Louisiana conservatives think New Orleans is fine?

There’s a reason it’s earned the nickname “Chi-raq”. It’s the quintessential ghetto shithole.

Actually Chicago is far more dangerous. ...and I'm not being facetious.

Then why aren’t the governors sending in the guard? They can do it anytime they want.

Nobody really cares what happens in north Baton Rouge. On the other hand, Chicago is a major commercial and financial center for the whole country. Unfortunately, its leadership is turning it into a blue city shithole.

PS. I’m sorry that Trump still has you by the pussy.

Maybe now that the war is over. I don’t keep up with current Iraqi crime rates. But the term Chiraq was coined during the height of the Iraq war and Iraq was far far far more dangerous than Chicago could ever dream of being. It’s not even remotely close.

I’ve been to both places. Got shot at a lot in Iraq. Haven’t been shot at once in Chicago.

It’s absolutely about that. In a major hub of commerce. You need to go play Minecraft or something. You’re not smart enough for this discussion.

The lives on the south side of Chicago are worth more than the lives in North Baton Rouge?

No, the term Chi Raq derived from a bad Spike Lee movie that was made in 2015. The Iraq War ended in 2011.

For some residents, Chicago is more dangerous than Afghanistan was for U.S. troops during the Iraq war, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medicine Association.

The study found that young men are more likely to be shot and killed in ZIP codes with the most violence than American soldiers were in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Specifically, in Chicago’s 60624 ZIP code, the homicide rate for young men is more than 1,200 for every 100,000, and it’s not the only ZIP code with numbers like this.

The average annual deaths per 100,000 for American soldiers who were heavily engaged in combat numbered at 395 in Afghanistan and 330 in Iraq.

Ftr, I lived in, and just outside of Chicago for over 60 years. It's extremely dangerous.

I tell ya how I'd respond to this "executive order". I'd round up every MS13 and like gang banger and ship 'em all to downtown Chicago.

We’ll learn something new everyday. I could’ve sworn I heard it thrown around before then.

Why compare to only American soldiers? What about the Iraqi civilians that were killed by insurgents and the US military?

Also, I’d be surprised if much more100000 soldiers were “heavily” engaged in combat during the war. The vast majority who deployed to Iraq never left the bases.

I didn't conduct the survey or compile the data. I merely cited it.

...but I really don't give a rat's testicle about the civilians that were killed in Iraq.

North Baton Rouge isn’t nearly as dangerous, but they’re trying.

That’s your own personal decision.

But not including them in the data when comparing Iraq violence to Chicago violence is dishonest.

I’m willing to bet that Baton Rouge has a much higher violent crime rate than Chicago.

You have no way to prove that. Chicago hasn't properly reported their violent crime statistics to the F.B.I. in over 25 years.

My point is that this president only identifies high crime areas as those in blue states. This is the opposite of what the actual state statistics show.

If they haven’t properly reported them then we really can’t know we?

In my view, the buck stops with city leadership.

There is zero excuse for why our cities are dirtier, have more homeless, more crime, death, etc than cities in Japan or Western Europe.

I don’t care if said cities are in blue or red states.

I felt truly ashamed when I was in Tokyo.
