This is dumb. He shouldn't have apologized. He's a comedian and shouldn't be restricted to his subject matter

I agree with you to an extent. He shouldn’t have to apologize, but the public didn’t like the joke. What’s more, the “offended” in this case didn’t act like a pussy and ask for an apology. He moved on with his life and won his election.

I’ve said it time and time again. Take a stand for what you believe in, don’t cater to the haters, and don’t play the victim, and have some balls to take the heat for standing by your convictions and you can weather anything.

Case studies need to be done on DJT and CFA for how to withstand a media blitz and come out on top.

People keep saying “he shouldn’t *have* to apologize.” What if he chose to apologize?

Maybe so

Although it is hard to be civil to people who call you racist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Hitler every 5 minutes of the day.

I gotta give credit to SNL and Davidson. Most apologies after offending people (Left and Right) are a half-arse tweet dripping with sarcasm. They didn't have to let Crenshaw on the show and Davidson certainly didn't have to sit there while they made light of getting left by his wife (i think they were married?). This seemed sincere and while I disagree with their politics, I can respect someone who at least has the courage to earnestly seek forgiveness.

Would never see a liberal do something like that. Still waiting for one apology to judge kavanaugh, for that clown show

Dan Crenshaw is a class act and a bad arse.

Yeah, he's nowhere near as big of a pussy about it as some of you were.

Yeah, it’s the rest of the world’s fault that he’s a little bitch.

The debate now is that The Left has a specific strategy to ruin good people and whether or not The Right should adopt this strategy as well in cases like this

People on the Right being FAR better human beings

If you find the actions of your opponents to be reprehensible, then you do not adopt that strategy if you are supposedly the "better" side. Your thinking is binary. It's the same mindset as your enemy.

My favorite part of that bit was that you could tell it was sincere on both sides. You can barely hear it at the end of the segment (Davidson's mic may have been off), but you can see him lean over and say "You really are a good guy."

It was nice to see the usually cocky Davidson be humbled by someone truly taking the high road.
