My family - thank God - hasn’t had any loss of income due to CV. We’re actually not spending as much because of daycare and social distancing.

But we’re getting a check anyway.

I’m a bit disturbed bu this, and I can’t decide whether to blow it at some local businesses, give it to someone who has lost work, or a combination.

I suppose it’s possible that we could lose some income as my wife is an architect. Architecture is one of the first industries affected in any downturn. But we think she’s probably OK for a few more months.

What say you baws?

I'll never feel guilty about the government giving me my own money back. They shouldn't be stealing income taxes in the first place.

Save your money. We don’t know how the economy will come out of this and cash is king - unless you bought a ton of Apple, Netflix, or Google stocks cheap.

Nope.

I'm losing income during the forced shutdowns, even though I have plenty of saving to survive. This is giving some of that back.

Plus, as the previous posted said I paid this in to begin with.

Let's see, I probably paid at least 50K in taxes last year if you add up federal income tax, state income tax, property tax, and sales tax.

So nope, I don't feel guilty about getting a small portion of my own money back.

The people who should feel guilty are those that take more than they contribute.

If you feel that guilty give it to someone you have think could use it. Nobody is going to make you accept the money. You can return it back to the government if you really want to.

Not sure if I’m getting anything—haven’t filed tax returns for the past 2 years, so I’m not sure if we’ll get anything or not. If we do, I’ll probably leave it in the bank for a few months, and once this crap blows over, cut a check to the Salvation Army.

Just donate it to a good China Flu cause or return it to the IRS. It is what it is.

We could get by without it, but I’ll never feel bad about getting my money back. It will make up for my wife temporarily not working too.

I'm not getting a stimulus check, but I have no issue with my fellow countrymen getting a piece of money that our pos politicians would have just stolen or wasted anyways.

I'm more bothered by all the small business owners who are trying to find out how to get a windfall, while also wanting to look like they are doing it for the good of their employees.

I'm also more bothered that businesses over 500 employees are exempted from the new leave and fmla china virus rules.

I even want lazy people to eat. I have sympathy for them, because our piece of shite leaders have been shipping their jobs to foreign countries for years.

I’m still going in to work everyday and we are very busy.

Like others have said, I will never feel bad for getting money back that was mine to begin with. I can’t wait for my stimulus check.

They're going to raise taxes later to cover this. Why not cash the check to try to equalize some of that out?

Not for a nano-second

Truth be known it is chump change when compared to what members of Congress and the WH have made off with over the years

No check for me because supposedly I made too much money last year. I'm sorry, but who couldn't use an extra $1200?

I have paid way more to the federal government than I am every getting back from the federal government.

Its my money. Why would I feel bad.

The people that should feel bad are the people that are net takers of taxmoney. Such as government employees and welfare queens.
