I wouldn't knock the platform, that sort of media may be the future of media. And it's not like Hollywood actors/acteesses (current media) have never been elected.

I am not knocking the platform as I watch a ton of YouTube every week. I am mainly curious why these commentators with hundreds of hours of tape and many questionable takes, even if they are being internet edgelords, think they have a shot to win elections IRL.

Ah gotcha. Yea lots of tape to dig through and find 5-10 second soundbites for political commercials.
That's not like an actor or actress who mostly read scripted lines that no matter how bad they sound people understand "it's just a movie".
Good point. Youtubers who mouth off thoughts will have a much harder time.

People not 5 years ago were apprehensive with the LGBTQ movement, suggesting that beastiality was the next logical step for the mentality they push.
