Did you just use a .jpg file name from your computer to try and post an image?

This has been explained over and over again already man, not that you would listen to it

I don't feel like explaining it, here's a link

quote:

There are actually two separate death counts on the CDC’s website. The main number was 68,279 at the time this article was written. That number comes from states sending their totals to the CDC.

A separate count is kept by the National Center for Health Statistics and is based off a second check of states' death certificates by the NCHS. Since this count requires states to send death certificates to the NCHS for review, it lags 1-to-3 weeks behind the main number.

Micro - quick question.

So will the pneumonia deaths also (about) double?

Double from when? Yes, pneumonia deaths are also on a lag, which I explain in this thread. I don't expect total pneumonia deaths on the year to double, though, because pneumonia deaths have been coming in steadily since the beginning of the year. In contrast, Covid-19 deaths have only been significant for a couple months and have been higher on the recent end and lower on the earlier, so it makes sense that a few weeks' delay would about double the total numbers.
